HMRC Fan Site

Eating our money at HMRC Is Shite

Over the last year or so there have been so many catastrophies at HMRC, we've struggled to keep up. Just in the last ten days we've had the crash of their online tax filing system, their frontman Adam Hart-Davis publicly criticising them and arguing for a flat tax, and of course the annual reminder from the Public Accounts Committee that fraud and error in the tax credits system is STILL costing us over £1bn pa.

But the good news is that HMRC now has its own dedicated fan site- HMRC Is Shite. Written by accountant Ken Frost, it is:

"...dedicated to the taxpayers of Britain, and the employees of the HMRC, who have to endure the monumental shambles that is Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs (HMRC).

This site is a living monument to the incompetence and arrogance of Gordon Brown, who set HMRC up."

Recent posts include Hart-Davis, disasters in the outsourced HMRC postroom (of data discs fame), and an interesting piece on HMRC's half-baked and vague rules on "income shifting".

Ken is already known to us as the author of the long established Nanny Knows Best, but we'd missed this other venture of his.

It's well worth a look.
