The Major has always insisted they're lying scum, but even he can hardly believe they turn out to be actual criminals. "Top to bottom- riddled with crime- can't understand why they're not inside!"
No prison places, Major. Anyway, nothing's actually been proved yet. Commissarette Alexander says:
"I deeply regret the damage which recent publicity has brought to the Labour Party. However, I reject any suggestion of intentional wrongdoing on my part."
Intentional wrongdoing. What a wonderful expression: it captures the very essence of our ludicrous bankrupt "government". Virtually everything they've touched has unintentionally turned bad. From their bloated plague hospital NHS, to their dumbed-down education system, to their life-sapping dependency welfare system, to their broken down criminal justice system, to their open borders policy, to their donkey-led, resource starved military, to their wobbling debt mountain, to their collapsing debt bubble economy, etc etc.
Unintentional wrongdoing is no excuse when you're clocked at 40 in a 30mph zone, and neither should it be for taking illegal political donations.
But when it comes to Big Government, unintentional wrongdoing is pretty much how it always works.
PS Tyler is just off to the PAC meeting on the bungled sale of QinetiQ (eg see this blog). Should be a sell-out... just like QinetiQ.
